His Story
From Athlete to Doctor
to Kingdom Coach
Dr. Jon Strefling grew up as a competitive athlete, but it was his faith that gave his physical pursuits real meaning. After earning his Doctorate in Physical Therapy, he saw a consistent pattern: Christian men were physically declining, and the Church wasn't talking about it.
Husbands were too tired to lead. Fathers were too weak to play. Men of God were neglecting the temple they'd been entrusted with. Jon knew he had to do something about it.
My Salty Fitness was born from that conviction — a coaching practice built on clinical excellence and biblical truth, designed specifically for the modern Christian man who wants to show up fully for God, his family, and his calling.

His Philosophy
Jon believes fitness isn't about vanity — it's about stewardship. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 calls the body a temple of the Holy Spirit. Caring for that temple is an act of worship and an expression of faithfulness.
His approach combines evidence-based physical therapy, nutritional science, and biblical wisdom to create programs that are practical, sustainable, and spiritually grounding. No fads. No gimmicks. Just discipline rooted in purpose.
